<br />Draft 7/23/96 <br /> <br />(Underline means new) <br />(Strikeout means delete) <br /> <br />Ordinance Number <br /> <br />AN ORDINANCE AMENDING CITY CODE SECTIONS 1007, A-H (GENERAL <br />REQUIREMENTS FOR INDUSTRIAL DISTRICTS) TO ADD SETBACK AND SCREENING <br />REQUIREMENTS FOR PASSENGER VEmCLE PARKING IN INDUSTRIAL DISTRICTS <br />AND BUILDING REQUIREMENTS <br /> <br />The City Council of the City ofRoseville does ordain: <br /> <br />I. <br /> <br />Purpose, The purpose of this ordinance is to provide for more efficient land use in industrial ~ <br />districts by allowing for more flexibility in parking setbacks, provided certain design criteria and <br />screening devices are utilized. The 6hjetiti. e 6f the ordinance is-t6 ~ provide alternative methods for <br />screening passenger vehicle parking lots from the public right-of-way. <br /> <br />II. <br /> <br />City Code Section 1007.01 A through H is hereby amended as follows: <br /> <br />1007.01 GENERAL REQUIREMENTS: <br /> <br />The following minimum requirements shall apply to all buildings that may be erected, converted <br />or structurally altered in industrial districts and development of industrial land: <br /> <br />A. Setback Requirements: ReQjlired yards shall be open spaces, 1!ft6eettpied by bttildiftgJ 6f <br />6th:en..i3e 1:H16bstr1ieted, which may be used for landscapini. lawna and driveways, but shall not <br />be utilized for buildiniS, parkini or as open storage areas for goods or vehicles except as <br />hereinafter specified. <br /> <br />1. Front Yard Setback: <br /> <br />a. The minimum front yard setback shall be forty feet (40') for all buildinis which <br />are 1 story or 30 feet or less in hei~t in all industrial districts. Where a buildina: <br />hei~t is more than 1 story or ~eater than 30 feet in hei~t. the front yard <br />buildini setback shall be 40 feet (40') plus one half foot (W) for each one foot <br />(1') of build in a: hei~ht over 30 feet in hei~ht. Side yards facing streets on comer <br />lots shall be considered the same as front yards. Where a front yard or side yard <br />of a comer lot faces a residential district across a street, the setback from the <br />street shall be not less than sixty feet (60l!:). <br /> <br />b.
