waters. Drainage from the project area is divided into three separate drainage basins, the
western, central, and eastern as described below.

The western drainage area includes approximately 50 acres located between Prior A venue and
Cleveland A venue and between County Road C and County Road C-2 in the project area.
Runoff from approximately 18 acres of the Centre Pointe development and an existing 6 acre
parcel east of Cleveland Avenue will also be treated in the western pond. The western drainage
area pond is situated directly north of and outlets to a wetland (DNR #62-50) located between
Cleveland Avenue and I-35W. The western pond, which is under construction and is expected
to be completed in June 1997, will meet all National Urban Runoff Program (NURP) standards.
This pond has a surface area 2.1 acres and permanent pool storage volume of 12.5 acre-feet.
No additional ponding facilities are anticipated for this drainage area.

The central drainage area includes approximately 18 acres from parcels 14 through 19 and 50
acres of existing redeveloped parcels located between Prior Avenue and Fairview A venue and
between County Road C and Terrace Drive. Runoff from approximately 20 acres of land
located south of County Road C is also directed to the central drainage area through existing
storm sewer. The central drainage area pond outlets to Langton Lake (DNR #49W)and is
located along the southeast shore of the lake. This pond has a surface area of 0.95 acres and
permanent pool storage volume 00.5 acre-feet. No additional ponding facilities are anticipated
for this drainage area.

The eastern drainage area includes runoff from approximately 58 acres of project area located
between Fairview Avenue and Lincoln Drive and between County Road C and Terrace Drive.
Runoff from the eastern drainage area currently flows to a wetland (DNR #206W) located in
Oasis park west of Lincoln Drive. Runoff is collected by existing street storm sewer and a
public ditch which outlets into a treatment basin located directly south of the wetland. Future
ponding needs in this area should be designed to meet all NURP standards, and will be reviewed
prior to any proposed redevelopment.

19. Water Quality - Wastewaters

a. Describe sources, quantities, and composition (except for normal domestic sewage) of all
sanitary and industrial wastewaters produced or treated at the site.

Response: Proposed uses are office/showroom and office/manufacturing. These uses produce
normal domestic sewage.

b. Describe any waste treatment methods to be used and give estimates of composition after
treatment, or if the project involves on-site sewage systems, discuss the suitability of the site
conditions for such systems. Identify receiving waters (including groundwater) and estimate
the impact of the discharge on the quality of the receiving waters. (If the discharge may affect
a lake, consult EA W Guidelines about whether a nutrient budget analysis is needed.)

Response: None.

c.

Ifwastes will be discharged into a sewer system or pretreatment system, identify the system and
discuss the ability of the system to accept the volume and composition ofthe wastes. Identify
any improvements which will be necessary.

#24397

14
