Restricted: Garage sales and resi- dential boutique sales are permitted accessOry uses in R-1, R-2. R-4, R-5 and R-e Districts, but shall be limited to three (3), three_consecutive-day sales each calendar year per residen- tial unit, and sha" not exceed nine (9) total days in duration per year. No single sale shall exceed three-consec- utive-days in length. The maximum daily hours of operation sha" be eight o'clock (8:00) A.M. to six o'clock (6:00) P.M. A residential boutique sale sha" not occupy more than four hun- dred (400) square feet of a residential unit. 2. Definitions: For the purposes of this Section, garage sales and residential bOUtique sales are defined as follows: GARAGE SALE: A sale of used household and personal itemS con- ducted on, residential premises, where the property sold consists of itemS 1 004.01 owned by the occupant of the premis- es at which the sale takes place, or by friends of such occupant and where the sale is conducted by such occu- pant or friends, and not by an agent or any other person to whom a commis- sion. fee or salary is paid. Items for sale shall not have been purchased for resale or received on consignment for the purpose of resale. Except dur- ing the sales day and one day before and after for setup. itemS for sale shall be stored within the garage, screened from "Iew with opaque fenc- ing or screening or stored in the ress- dence. No permit is required for a sale which meets the criteria of this Sec- tion.
