& \"J\
~ '^'\\\t\~

September 13, 1997

Mr. Dennis Welsch
Community Development Director
City of Roseville
2660 Civic Center Drive
Roseville, MN 55113

Mr. Wally Case
DSU
300 1 st Avenue North, Suite 210
Minneapolis, MN 55401

RE: Fence/Shed Addition and Landscape Improvement Plan for 505 Hillscourte
North, Roseville, MN 55113

Gentlemen:

As we discussed, we are enclosing for review, input and approval, the above referenced
projects. If approval is expeditious, we plan to construct the fence/shed this fall and
landscape around it in the spring. We anticipate doing the front lawn rock and flower
garden in the next one to three years.

We have had an architect professional prepare the enclosed site plan. These projects will
cost anywhere from $5,000 to $8,000 to complete, will be consistent with the current
house and fence and greatly enhance our property and the neighborhood. We have no
adjoining neighbors to contact, although all surrounding neighbors signed to support the
fence variance we received last year and we believe they would support these projects
also.

The shed would be used for pool equipment and outdoor furniture storage. Its exterior
would be of the same alternating board cedar as the fence. We have angled the sides to
soften its appearance and would roof it with shingles of a color most close to the fence
color. Two to four pine trees will surround it and the area will be edged and rocked with
limestone to match the existing property landscaping.
