Through an existing agreement, Roseville Area Schools is committed to paying for a portion of these <br />34 <br />additional fiber connections. Additionally the City of Little Canada and the Ramsey-Washington Metro <br />35 <br />Watershed District (RWMWD) have expressed their desire to contribute to the projects. Little Canada and <br />36 <br />RWMWD are party to the IT services cost sharing consortium through a joint powers agreement with the <br />37 <br />City. <br />38 <br />39 <br />City Staff in conjunction with Roseville Area Schools, City of Little Canada and RWMWD are <br />40 <br />recommending that the following facilities be connected in 2014. <br />41 <br />42 <br />Roseville Area School District 623 <br />43 <br />Little Canada Elementary School <br />44 <br />Emmett D. Williams Elementary School <br />45 <br />46 <br />Ramsey-Washington Watershed District Office <br />47 <br />48 <br />Little Canada City Hall <br />49 <br />50 <br />City Facilities <br />51 <br />Brenner Sanitary Sewer Lift Station <br />52 <br />Josephine Sanitary Sewer Lift Station <br />53 <br />54 <br />PO <br />OLICYBJECTIVE <br />55 <br />Multi-jurisdictional agreements and projects are consistent with the goals and strategies identified in the <br />56 <br />Imagine Roseville 2025 process. The joint construction of a fiber optic network will serve a larger number <br />57 <br />of constituents and achieve greater economies of scale than if the City would to construct one separately. <br />58 <br />59 <br />BI <br />UDGETMPLICATIONS <br />60 <br />Estimated cost for these fiber segments is $350,000 of which Little Canada and RWMWD will contribute <br />61 <br />approximately $113,000. The estimated capital cost for the fiber projects for the City of Roseville and ISD <br />62 <br />623 would be $237,000.
