~->

#~...
.

Community Development Department
August 29, 1997

Mr. John Simpson
3083 Mt. Ridge Road
Roseville, Mn. 55113

Re: Landscape Plans for areas abutting Cleveland Avenue within Centre Pointe Project

Dear John:

The purpose of this letter is to ask you, as a leader and representative of the residential
neighborhood adjoining Centre Pointe, whether there is neighborhood interest in meeting
to review the individual construction plans for Centre Pointe exterior improvements.

As part of the Centre Pointe PUD, an advisory neighborhood design task force was asked
" ... to review landscaping and lighting plans, curb line designs, street
alignment/realignments and turning movements in the area from Lydia north to and
including County Road D ". After review of such plans, the task force would have to
prepare a recommendation to the City Council for implementation.

Many of the landscape plans are now complete. The landscape plans illustrate plant
materials in the locations designated on the landscape master plan. Minor changes have
been made in the plant species where some varieties are not available. Berms have been
expanded in some areas to add more screening. The pathway is being reconstructed in
some areas. Parking lot lighting is also to follow the PUD requirements.

If there is neighborhood interest in meeting to review the plans, I would be happy to hold
a meeting here at City Hall or out on the site at your convenience. Please let me know of
a time and location and the interested participants. I will see that mailed notice is sent to
them confirming the time and location. If there is no interest in a meeting, I could still
provide a written"tlpdate regarding the plans and any future developments.

Thank you for your time and continued interest.

Sincerely,

Dennis P. Welsch,
Community Development Director (490-2232)

cc: Steve Sarkozy, Kent Carlson
C:\WPWIN60\WPDOCS\C-POINTE\NEIGHBOR.MTG
