<br />3.0 REQUESTEDACnON <br /> <br />3.1 The James Addition Task Force seeks Planning Commission a<..;ceptance and <br />support of their report and recommendations to the City Council. If the Task Force <br />study recommendations are approved by the City Council, the City would hold <br />hearings (by the Planning Commission) on the proposed changes in comprehensive <br />plan and zoning to gather further input and begin implementing the study's <br />recommendations. <br /> <br />3.2 By motion, accept the Task Force report as the basis to amend the Comprehensive <br />Plan and recommend that the Council direct the Planning Commission to schedule <br />public hearings and seek further public input on the comprehensive plan revisions <br />for the neighborhood, including new policies and a land use map change from <br />business to high density residential for the south east corner (6.2 acres) of the <br />neighborhood changes in the public infrastructure including road alignments and <br />widths, pathway needs and locations. and other quality of life improvements to the <br />residential neighborhood. <br /> <br />Attachments: location map; Task Force Report and Recommendations <br /> <br />Time Limit: Moratorium extends through January 1, 1998, but may be extended by the City Council for specific <br />additional studies or hearings. <br /> <br />Prepared by: Dennis Welsch, Community Development Director (490-2232) <br /> <br />A\JA-REPOR.
