<br />4Jl STAFF RECOMMENDA TION <br /> <br />4.1 Staff recommends approval of the request for conditional use permit to allow a <br />beauty parlor as a home occupation at 1120 County Road C2, with the following <br />conditions: <br /> <br />1. The hours of operation must be limited to the following: 7:00 a.m., to 8:00 <br />p.m., Monday through Friday, and 8:00 a.m. to 12:00 noon on Saturday. <br />There shall be no hours of operation on Sunday. <br /> <br />2. There shall be no more than two client cars at the residence at a time, and <br />said cars must be parked on the existing residential driveway. <br /> <br />3. The beauty parlor shall be limited to one room within the residence. <br /> <br />4. The applicant shall be the sole operator of the salon. <br /> <br />5. There shall be no exterior storage of equipment or materials used in the <br />operation of the beauty parlor. <br /> <br />6. Signage shall be limited to one sign not exceeding three square feet of area <br />per surface, in accordance with the requirements of Section 1009.04A, City <br />Code. Said sign shall not be illuminated. <br /> <br />7. The conditional use permit is issued to Laura Alwan and shall become <br />invalid if the property is sold or if the beauty salon is no longer operated by <br />Ms. Alwan. <br /> <br />~ SUGGESTED ACTION <br /> <br />5.1 By motion, recommend City Council approval of the request for a conditional use <br />permit to allow a beauty parlor as a home occupation at 1120 County Road C2, <br />based on the findings outlined in Section 3.1 of this report and with the conditions <br />outlined in Section 4.1. <br /> <br />Attachments: location map; notification map; notice of public hearing; project narrative from applicant; site <br />plan; and photographs of property. <br /> <br />60-day Time Limit: application submitted on May 12, 1997; application accepted as complete on May 21, <br />1997; decision deadline is July 20, 1997. <br /> <br />Prepared by: Kim L.
