City of Roseville <br /> ORDINANCE NO. 1470 <br /> AN ORDINANCE AMENDING SELECTED TEXT OF TITLE 10 ZONING ORDINANCE <br /> OF THE ROSEVILLE CITY CODE <br /> THE CITY OF ROSEVILLE ORDAINS: <br /> SECTION 1. Purpose: The Roseville City Code is hereby amended to include additional <br /> flexibility for attached garage placement within the Low Density Residential-1 and Low Density <br /> Residential-2 districts,by creating a new setback allowance. <br /> SECTION 2. §1004.05, One- and Two-Family Design Standards is hereby amended as <br /> follows: <br /> A. One-and Two-Family Design Standards: The standards in this section are <br /> applicable to all one- and two-family buildings, with the exception of accessory <br /> dwelling units. The intent of these standards is to create streets that are pleasant and <br /> inviting, and to promote building faces which emphasize living area as the primary <br /> function of the building or function of the residential use. <br /> 1. Garage doors shall not occupy more than 40% of the building facade (total <br /> building front); and <br /> 2. Garage doors shall be set back at least 5 feet allowed to extend forward a <br /> maximum of 5-feet from the predominant portion of the principal use, while still <br /> required to meet the 30-foot principal structure front yard setback; and <br /> 3. Homes with an attached garage that is set back 100 feet or more from the <br /> front property line are exempt from meeting the requirement in "a" above, <br /> but must meet all other requirements of Section 1004.05A. <br /> SECTION 5. Effective Date. This ordinance amendment to the Roseville City Code shall take <br /> effect upon passage and publication. <br /> Passed this 11th day of August, 2014 <br />
