McCarrons Blvd.
Roseville, MN 55113-6905

RE: STREET RECONSTRUCTION, CITY PROJECT P-97-03

Dear Mr. and Mrs. Schotl:

As part of the upcoming street project on South McCarrons Boulevard, the City will have the
contractor remove and replace the boulevard portion of residential driveways. The City
Engineering Department has examined all driveways for code compliance and existing and
proposed grades.

The City of Roseville requires that all driveways be brought into compliance with City Code
during a permanent street upgrading. Driveways must be a minimum of five feet trom
neighboring property lines. Currently, the east edge of your driveway is approximately at your
east property line. In order to comply with City Code, this must be re-built to a point five feet
trom your east property line.

Or, you may apply to vary trom City Code by applying for a "minor variance." I have enclosed an
application for a minor variance if you would prefer this option. If approved, your driveway
would be legal and no change oflocation would be necessary. Please contact Kim Lee, the
Roseville City Planner, at 490-2236 for further information regarding the variance.

Sincerely,

Tony Th
Project Coordinator

TAT:cy

Enclosures

2660 CIVIC CENTER DRIVE · ROSEVILLE · MINNESOTA · 55113-1899
612-490-2200 · TDD 612-490-2205
