<br />,j.' <br /> <br />EXTRACT OF MINUTES OF MEETING OF THE <br />CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF ROSEVILLE <br /> <br />* <br /> <br />* <br /> <br />* <br /> <br />* <br /> <br />* <br /> <br />* <br /> <br />* <br /> <br />* <br /> <br />* <br /> <br />* <br /> <br />* <br /> <br />* <br /> <br />* <br /> <br />Pursuant to due call and notice thereof, a regular meeting of the City Council of the <br />City of Roseville, County of Ramsey, Minnesota, was duly called held at the City Hall on <br />Monday, the 25th day of August, 1997 at 6:30 P.M. <br /> <br />The following members were present: Wiski (arrived late), Mastel, Goedeke, <br />Maschka and Wall <br />and the following were absent: None <br /> <br />Council Member Mastel introduced the following resolution and moved its adoption: <br /> <br />RESOLUTION NO. 9453 <br /> <br />RESOLUTION GRANTING A SHORELAND SETBACK VARIANCE AT <br />1199 JOSEPHINE ROAD <br /> <br />WHEREAS, Section 1016.16A of the Roseville City Code requires a structure to be <br />set back a minimum of 75 feet from the ordinary high water level (OHWL) and Section <br />1016.268 requires a maximum impervious surface coverage of 25 percent within a <br />shoreland management overlay district; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, Stuart Sellars and Carole Wedel Sellars have requested a variance to <br />reduce the setback from the OHWL of Lake Josephine to 22 feet and a variance to allow <br />the continuance of an impervious lot coverage of 70 percent at 1199 Josephine Road; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the Roseville Planning Commission conducted a public hearing on the <br />request on Wednesday, July 9, 1997 and Wednesday, August 13, 1997, and <br />recommended approval of the requested variances; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the Roseville City Council received the Planning Commission's <br />recommendation on Monday, August 25,1997, and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the Roseville City Council made the following findings: <br /> <br />1. Section 1016.16A, City Code, requires all structures to be setback a <br />minimum of 75 feet from the ordinary high water level (OHWL) of Lake <br />Josephine, a general development lake. The existing accessory structure is <br />set back 20 feet from the OHWL of Lake Josephine and the existing principal <br />structure is set back 30 feet. The new addition will be set back 22 feet from <br />the OHWL, which is four feet further than the existing detached accessory <br />building. <br /> <br />Resolution _ - Page 1 of 3 <br />
