Absent the starting deficit position, overall funding levels for the City’s water system are in
fairly good shape. However, inflationary-type increases in the rates will be needed to keep pace
with rising replacement costs.A rate increase in 2015should keep cash reserve levels relatively
stable in the coming years.
2015-2034 CIP Funding Plan: Sanitary Sewer
$1,800,000
$1,600,000
$1,400,000
$1,200,000
$1,000,000
$800,000
$600,000
$400,000
$200,000
$-
2015201820212024202720302033
RevenueExpenseCash Reserve
Overall funding levels for the City’s sanitary sewer system are also in good shape thanks to
recent rate increases. Inflationary-type increases in the rates maybe needed to keep pace with
rising replacement costs.
2015-2034 CIP Funding Plan:Storm Water System
$3,500,000
$3,000,000
$2,500,000
$2,000,000
$1,500,000
$1,000,000
$500,000
$-
2015201820212024202720302033
RevenueExpenseCash Reserve
Overall funding levels for the City’s storm sewer system are strong which places it good position
to fund future capital replacements. It does not appear that any rate increase will be needed for
2015.However, like the water and sewer funds future inflationary-type increases in the rates
maybe needed to keep pace with rising replacement costs.
Page 6of 9
