<br />July 31, 1997 <br /> <br />Ms. Kim Lee <br />Ci ty of Roseville <br />Coomunity Developnent <br /> <br />Dear Ms. Lee, <br /> <br />My husband and I would like to request that a minor variance be granted fran <br />the city ordinance that prohibits a detached garage being built next to our <br />existing house. .The shape and size of our lot does not allow us to comply <br />with this ordinance. We do not have a big enough backyard to put a garage <br />behind our house. <br /> <br />Landmark Builders have given us an estimate of $12,800 to build a 24X28 de- <br />tached garage. If we have to build an attached garage the cost will increase <br />an additional $6500.00, for a total of approximately $19,300. <br /> <br />We have gotten permission of all three adjoining property owners to build a <br />detached garage on the north side of our lot next to the existing structure. <br />I have enclosed a copy of this with their signatures and addresses. <br /> <br />Thank-you for your consideration in this matter. <br /> <br />~/l(~ <br /> <br />Michele M.
