<br />ill <br />#1 <br /> <br />;; <br />'" <br /> <br /> <br />Memorandum <br /> <br />:m:;~~>:::mmm""mmm1~!\'A~m~ <br /> <br />To: Dennis Welsch, Community Development Director <br />From: Thomas Paschke, City Planner <br />Date: 06/22/99 <br /> <br />Re: Minor Amendment to Planned Unit Development Agreement #1199. <br /> <br />BACKGROUND <br /> <br />During the construction of the Taco Bell, located in the northwest comer of Larpenteur <br />A venue and Lexington Avenue, the contractor determined that they could not construct the <br />"typical" arch on the east side (Lexington Avenue) of the restaurant. This being the case, it <br />also me that the approved cabinet sign could not be installed either. <br /> <br /> <br />'on, Border Foods, Inc., a franchisee of Taco Bell corporation, has requested <br />to the approved signage plan be considered. The request would modify <br />allow the installation of the Taco Bell sign on the west side of the <br />to the arch in the same manner as was proposed for the east side of the <br /> <br />CITY <br /> <br />Section .07a of the Roseville City Code states that minor changes in the location, <br />placement, and height of structures may be authorized by the Development Review <br />Committee (DRC) if required by engineering or other circumstances not foreseen at the time <br />the final plan was approved and filed with the Zoning Administrator. The DRC reviews and <br />recommends approval/denial of minor planned unit development amendments, forwarding <br />their recommendations to the Community Development Director, City Attorney and City <br />Manager for final approval and signature. <br /> <br />RECOMMENDATION <br /> <br />During the weeks of February 15 - 26, 1999, the City Planner presented the request by <br />Border Foods, Inc. to modify the approved sign plan to the DRC. This modification (letter <br />attached) was reviewed by the DRC and on February 23, 1999 recommended for approval. <br />The minor amendment requires modification of Section 10.12 of Planned Unit <br />Development/Subdivision Agreement #1199, as follows: <br /> <br /> <br />1 <br />
