<br />EXTRACT OF MINUTES OF MEETING <br />OF THE CITY COUNCIL <br />CITY OF ROSEVILLE, RAMSEY COUNTY, MINNESOTA <br /> <br />Pursuant to due call and notice thereof, a meeting of the City Council of the city of Roseville, <br />County of Ramsey, Minnesota, was duly held in the City Hall at 2660 Civic Center Drive, <br />Roseville, Minnesota, on Monday, the 11 th day of February, 2002, at 6:30 p.m. <br /> <br />The following members were present: Kough, Schroeder, Klausing, Maschka, Kysylyczyn <br />and the following members were absent: None <br /> <br />Member Kough introduced the following resolution and moved its adoption: <br /> <br />RESOLUTION NO. 9977 <br />RESOLUTION OF APPRECIATION FOR <br />VOLUNTEERS OF THE 2002 HOME AND GARDEN FAIR <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the City Council encourages community participation in city-wide events <br />and welcomes the participation and leadership of volunteers at such events; and, <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the City since 1997 has sponsored a Home and Garden Fair, as a part of its <br />Housing Program, and as a means of reinvesting in the community; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, on February 2, 2002, the sixth annual Home and Garden Fair was held with <br />the participation of over 50 exhibitors and 1,400 visitors to the Fair (within a five-hour period); <br /> <br />NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, that the Roseville City Council hereby <br />acknowledges and wishes to express their appreciation to the Home and Garden Coordinating <br />Committee volunteers who successfully planned and implemented all the activities to assure the <br />Fair's success: <br /> <br />Members of the Home and Garden Fair Coordinating Committee: <br /> <br />Mary Bender, Community Volunteer <br />Kathy Deland, Lillie Suburban Newspapers <br />Shirley Friberg, Community Volunteer <br />Polly Heaton, Fairview Community Center <br />Lynnae LeBarron, Roseville Senior Program <br />Lonnie Brokke, Roseville Parks & Recreation <br />Cathy Bennett and Pat Morrison, Roseville Community Development <br /> <br />and the many other volunteers who contributed to the 2002 Home and Garden Fair. <br /> <br />The motion for the adoption of the foregoing resolution was duly seconded by Member Schroeder <br />and upon a vote being taken thereon, the following voted in favor thereof: Kough, Schroeder, <br />Klausing, Maschka, Kysylyczyn <br /> <br />and the following voted against the same: None <br /> <br />WHEREUPON, said Resolution was declared duly passed and adopted this 11th day of <br />February 2002. <br /> <br />\ \Victoria\CommDev\Housing\Home and Garden\Committee\ResApprec _0211 02.doc <br />
