No evidence of encapsulation of' the
suspect materials was observed. It was not determined during the
walkthrough if the tunnel was part of the ventilation.system.

RECOMKENDATJ:ONS

1. If a building inspection has not been done, conducting a
comprehensive inspection would be the first step in
management. of asbes~os-contai~ing materials at the facility.

2. Existing building inspection reports (if any) should be
reviewed to determine that they are up to date with res~ect
to asbestos-containing materials and their conditions w~thin
the building. I.

3. Persons entering the pi~e. tunnels should be e9Uipped with
proper personal protect~ve equipment to minim~ze potential
exposure to asbestos fibers.

4. Remediation of damaged pipe insulation (assumed to be
asbestos) in the tunnels would be a top priority if an
asbestos management plan were implemented.

5. Any other suspect materials should be assumed to contain
asbestos and care should be taken to avoid disturbing or
damaging them.

Please contact me at 612-291-0456 if you have any questions
regarding this report.

sincerely,

/!!aJ L~/fla .

Mark sona~:"""
Industrial Hygiene Technician

2012
