We were originally contacted
by John Skowronski of Mintax, a brokerage located in East Brunswick, NJ. Mintax's customer was Allied
Building Products Corporation, IS East Union Avenue, East Rutherford, NJ, Builder's Supplies parent
company.

We sent out a Request/or Information to 17 cities as follows:

"We have a customer looking for about 4 acres of land near Interstate 94 or Highway 10 between S1. Cloud
and the Twin Cities. They are a building products business that supplies the construction industry. Some
outside storage is expected, They currently operate in Toronto, Duluth and Roseville.
The ideal situation would be a 50,000 sf concrete block building and a 12,000 sf pole barn. A small portion
may be used for retail. (Smaller facilities with space for expansion should also be presented.) They estimate
30 to 60 jobs mostly in warehouse & trucking.
They are willing to lease, buy or build. Incentives may be helpful: TIF, Minnesota Investment Fund, Jobs
Skills Partnership and maybe some city or county support.
*This is HOT....Please try to get back with information (ves or no) by the end of the week."

Dennis, anything you can do to expedite this request would be very helpful. DTED is pursuing every avenue
available to make sure these jobs remain in the metro area. Thanks again for your help.

cc: Mark Lofthus, Director, Marketing & Business Development
Jack Bickel, Finance Officer, Allied Building Products Corporation
15 East Union Avenue, East Rutherford, NJ 07073

500 Metro Square, 121 7th Place East, Saint Paul, Minnesota 55101-2146 USA
612-297-1291.800-657-3858.
