...

2/15/98

NEIGHBORHOOD

NETWORK

'l'here'~ is a new housing development project for Seniors in process
invol ving the 1am} bordered by Highway 88 on the West, County Road C 2
onthe North and Old Highway 8 on the East.
Phase One, which faces Highway 80, did receive final approval
from the Ronevi.lle City Council on 2/9/98. '1'his invol ves )0 condo-
miniums all roughly three acres of land.
lhase Two is still in the planning stage. It concerns the plot
of land that is currently black-topped and faces CId Highway 8. '],hi8
vlot is 125 ft. x 600 ft. or roughJy one and three quarter acres. It has
been designated High Density on the Roseville Comprehensi ve l-'lan. 'I'he
discussion concerninf this parcel has focused on JO rental units.
'l'h e thi I'd parcel of I and is the corne r of C 2 and Old lHghway 8.
'l'his area is currently zoned single family residential and contains
two 1 ate. 1 tis referred to as l'hase 1'h1'ee 0 f thi s II anned Unit Devel-
opment (rUD). It has also been designated as High Dens! ty housing by
Boseville City Plannin~ in the Comprehensive Plan, if and when it io .~
sold.

To our knowledge there was no representation from the neighborhood
when this flJture planning was done. We al'e concerned that the High
Densi ty designation for Phases II and III is inappropriate f'or our
nelghbor~ood. We are requesting that a medium to low density housing
designation be given to this area on the Comprehensive Plan. We also
request that this project move ahead in an orderly, open manner with
invol vement from as many residents as would like to participate.
