<br />'>> <br />< I JCI}~ <br />~,o I ~i~ <br />!f" 6o~ .1/ <br /> <br />REQUEST FOR COUNCIL ACTION <br /> <br />DATE: 06/08/98 <br />ITEM NO: C-l <br /> <br />Manager Approved: Agenda Section: <br />~ CONSENT <br /> <br />Lois Nyman request for a variance at 1720 Chatsworth Street North <br />(PF#3008) - Re9uest to continue Until June 22, 1998 <br /> <br /> <br /> <br />1.0 REQUESTED ACTION <br /> <br />1.1 Lois Nyman is requesting a variance to reduce the side yard setback to two feet for <br />the purpose of constructing an eight-foot addition to an attached single car garage <br />at 1720 Chatsworth Street N. The applicant will also need a variance to reduce the <br />setback of a driveway to two feet from the property line. <br /> <br />1.2 Several issues were raised during the public hearing at the Planning Commission <br />for this request. Although the Planning Commission recommended approval of the <br />request, Mrs. Nyman has asked that City Council action on the request be <br />continued until the June 22, 1998 meeting. Since the exact location of the north <br />property line is in question, this delay will provide Mrs. Nyman with additional time <br />to have this property line surveyed prior to the City Council taking action on the <br />request. <br /> <br />1.3 In accordance with Minnesota Statutes 15.99, extend the time line for agency <br />review of the following applications for 60 days, since the deadline for action on this <br />request is June 15, 1998. <br /> <br />2.0 SUGGESTED CITY COUNCIL ACTION <br /> <br />2.1 By motion, continue action Mrs. Nyman's request for a variance to reduce the side <br />yard setback to two feet for the purpose of constructing an eight-foot addition to an <br />attached single car garage and a variance to reduce the setback of driveway to <br />three feet at 1720 Chatsworth Street North. <br /> <br />2.2 By resolution, extend the time line for agency review of the application of Lois <br />Nyman's request for a variance for 60 days, from June 15, 1998, to August 14, <br />1998. <br /> <br />Attachments: location map; resolution extending time line for review. <br /> <br />6()..dayTime Umit applica1ion submitted on Apn116, 1998; application accepted as complete on April 27, 1998; <br />decision deadline is June 15, 1998. <br /> <br />Prepared by: Kim L Lee, AICP (490-2236) <br /> <br />M:\RCA\PF3008 <br /> <br />PF#3008 - RCA (06/08/98) - Page 1 <br />
