The Minor Variance Committee denied the <br />request, and Mr. Heffernan has decided to apply for a variance through the regular <br />variance procedure. <br /> <br />BACKGROUND <br /> <br />Michael Heffernan owns a two family dwelling at 2042-2044 Dale Street North. The <br />property is located in an R-2 Single Family Residential District, and the <br />Comprehensive Plan identifies this property as Low Density Residential. Adjacent <br />land uses include low density residential to the north, south, east, and west. <br /> <br />Mr. Heffernan is now (8/10/98) requesting a variance from Section 1004.01 of the <br />City Code, to allow the construction of a second accessory building and to increase <br />the lot coverage to 70% of the required rear yard.
