<br />PLANNING COMMISSION MINUTES <br />EXCERPT - OCTOBER 141 1998 <br />DRAFT <br /> <br />6c. Planning File 3023. The City of Roseville is proposing text amendments to Section <br />1004.01A of the City Code regarding the number, size, location, height and appearance <br />of accessory buildings in residential zoning districts. <br /> <br />Chair Harms opened the hearing and requested Kim Lee to summarize the ordinance <br />proposal as provided in the October 14,1998 staff report. Kim Lee highlighted the <br />changes in the proposed ordinance. <br /> <br />Member Mulder asked if the 40% rear yard coverage applies only to the one accessory <br />building (yes). A normal tool shed (up to 120 sf) would be excluded from the 40% <br />coverage. The language should be clarified. <br /> <br />Member Cunningham asked if the definition of the required rear yard or reference should <br />be made or placed in a handout. Member Olson asked for details regarding additional <br />setbacks. <br /> <br />Member Klausing stated that paragraph #10 should read that "corrugated siding and <br />corrugated roofs are prohibited." <br /> <br />There being no public comment, Chair Harms closed the hearing. <br /> <br />Motion: Member Mulder moved, seconded by Member Rhody, to recommend approval <br />of An Ordinance Amending Section 1004.01A of the Roseville City Code, based on the <br />findings outlined in the report of October 14, 1998. <br /> <br />On a roll call vote: <br />Ayes: 7, Harms, Cunningham, Klausing, Olson, Mulder, Rhody, Wilke <br />Nays: 0, None <br /> <br />Motion carried 7-0. <br />
