)~-l1~

To: Roseville Community Development Committee

From: Ann and David Somers

Subject: Request for Minor Variance

Part D:

1. Maximum light and design modifications necessary to improve the livability of our
home. Moving the garage back would decrease light in the kitchen and family eating area
which is philosophically, medically and aesthetically unsound planning.

2. Building vs Green Space in backyard off B-2 vs. front on street side.
- Garden space is a premium
- B-2 side is not desirable family entertainment space
- This design does not impact parking or visibility for our neighbors or owners

3. Improvement of Street Appearance
- The garage/porch position has been designed by both an architect and the owners.
- This is the best plan to add garage space, street appeal and quality to our
neighborhood.
- The neighbors love the plan and our gorgeous backyards and gardens are
preserved.

~~
6, ~t{t98
