<br />EXTRACT OF MINUTES OF MEETING <br />OF THE <br />CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF ROSEVILLE <br />* * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * <br /> <br />Pursuant to due call and notice thereof, a regular meeting of the City Council of the City of <br />Roseville, County of Ramsey, Minnesota was duly held on the 25th day of March, 2002, at 5:30 <br />p.m. <br /> <br />The following members were present: Maschka, Klausing, Schroeder, Kough and Kysylyczyn, <br />And the following were absent: none. <br /> <br />Member Kysylyczyn introduced the following resolution and moved its adoption: <br /> <br />Resolution No. 9983 <br /> <br />ITEM 6 - LOCAL GOVERNMENT RESOLUTION <br /> <br />BE IT RESOLVED that The City ofRoseville act as legal sponsor for the project contained in <br />the Outdoor Recreation Grant Program Application to be submitted on 3/31/02 and that The <br />Director of Parks and Recreation Is herby authorized to apply to the Department of Natural <br />Resources for funding of this project on behalf of The City of Roseville. <br /> <br />BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that The City of Roseville has the legal authority to apply for <br />financial assistance, and financial capability to meet the match requirement and ensure adequate <br />construction, operation, maintenance and replacement of the proposed project for its design life. <br /> <br />BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that The City of Roseville has not incurred any costs described <br />on Item 4 and has not entered into a written purchase agreement for the property described on <br />Item 3. <br /> <br />BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that upon approval of its application by the state, The City of <br />Roseville may enter into an agreement with the State of Minnesota for the above-referenced <br />project, and that The City ofRoseville certifies that it will comply with all applicable laws and <br />regulations as stated in the grant agreement including dedicating the park property for outdoor <br />recreation uses into perpetuity. <br /> <br />NOW, THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED that The Director of Parks & Recreation is hereby <br />authorized to execute such agreements as are necessary to implement the project on behalf of the <br />applicant. <br /> <br />The motion for the adoption of the foregoing resolution was duly seconded by Member <br />Schroeder, and upon a vote being taken thereon, the following voted in favor thereof: Maschka, <br />Klausing, Schroeder, Kough and Kysylyczyn, <br />and the following voted against same: none. <br /> <br />WHEREUPON said resolution was declared duly passed and adopted. <br />
