<br /> <br />~"'lO~~ <br /> <br />Minnesota <br />COMMUNITY DEVELOPMENT DEPARTMENT <br /> <br />February 10, 2000 <br /> <br />To: Mike Ondracek, Preferred Builders <br /> <br />From: Cathy Bennett, City of Roseville <br /> <br />RE: Landscape Plan Revisions, 2190 St. Croix Street <br /> <br />This memo is to address the landscape plan and bid provided to me on February 9,2000 for <br />2190 St. Croix Street in accordance with the Contract for Deed dated April 23, 1999 between the <br />City of Roseville and Preferred Builders. <br /> <br />The provisions of the Contract for Deed requires that an approved landscape plan be prepared by <br />Preferred Builders and approved by the City of Roseville. In addition, we require security to <br />ensure that the plan will be completed as soon as weather permits. The amount of the security, <br />which can be escrowed with the City by cash, certified check or money order, is 1,5 times a bid <br />from a licensed landscape contractor, <br /> <br />The information you provided to me on February 9,2000 is insufficient and will need to be revised <br />prior to closing, The following items will need to be addressed: <br /> <br />. Is the estimate provided and supported by a licensed landscape contractor? <br />. Identify the size, root condition and botanical name of the seasonal shrubs, <br />. What types of landscape rock does the bid cover? <br />. What is garden verbena? Provide size, root condition, etc, <br />. What type of sod materials? Does this include 4" of topsoil? <br />. Does the final grade address the drainage issues per the survey? There needs to be <br />indication on the plan or in the bid that a grade provision is provided along the north and <br />south property lines to ensure that water drains to the street. <br />. In what condition are the trees provided? Bag & burlap, potted, spaded? <br />. Label the location of the trees, shrubs, and garden verbena on the plan, <br /> <br />The City of Roseville will require that these issues be addressed prior to closing.
