Roseville Housing Fund would be used for the <br />purchase and administrative fees associated with the purchase, if approved. <br /> <br />2.0 <br /> <br />Backaround <br /> <br />2.1 <br /> <br />A housing replacement program was established in 1996 to help the City purchase <br />- ~ <br />dated or non-code compliant structures that could not be economica1Ty <br />~abili'ated or ~nlrl no thp Qnen mar e . e purpose of the program is to replace <br />deteriorating lower value housing on scattered sites throughout the City with larger, <br />higher value housing designed for families. The goal of the program is to increase <br />the property value of the home and improve the value and aesthetics of the <br />neighborhood properties. The property at 2190 St. Croix Street, if approved for <br />purchase, would be replaced with a new single family home. 1tI" <br />;1 C.fA~ 7 <br />In 1998 the Ci has a oal to urchase three homes; the city has purchased two <br />homes. Those homes are located at 2 00 William Street an 266 eXlng on <br />Avenue. In addition, the City purchased a tax forfeited vacant parcel from Ramsey <br />County to combine with the home at 2100 William under the program. The total <br />funds expended under the program for the purchases is approximately $108,000. <br />~ ,\ <br /> <br />~ <br />~~ <br />c) <br /> <br /> <br />2.2 <br /> <br />2.3 <br /> <br />J.
