There are approximately 500 units of <br />multifamily housing units within 14 mile of the site and provide senior ownership <br />condominiums and affordable multifamily apartments and duplexes. The new units <br />will serve as the entryway in both design and character for future renovation projects <br />in the area. A system of pathways connecting each multifamily housing property to <br />the mini transit hub will be established to ensure accessibility by a broader community <br />base. <br /> <br />Employment and Transportation Connections to Subregion and Region. The <br />mini transit hub is served by the Roseville Circulator Routes 101 and 102 which <br />connects to Rosedale in Roseville and the surrounding suburbs of Shoreview and <br />Arden Hills. The Roseda1e Hub provides direct connects to downtown St. Paul, <br />Minneapolis, and the Twin Cities Airport. The Hamline Commons project will <br />provide a year round, safe, climate controlled "mini-Hub" shelter for the Roseville <br />Circulator bus and for employment and housing drop off and pick up. This area will <br />provide a convenient and safe area for pedestrians to access the bus lines that serves <br />subregional and regional areas of the Twin Cities for employment, recreation and <br />shopping needs. <br /> <br />14.. The redevelopment would go through <br />the Planned Unit Development.Process that includes sketch plan review and public . <br />concept hearings with the Planning COJrunission and City Council. . Residents within <br />350 feet of the property would be notified by mail of all public hearings and a notice <br />wiil also be published in the local paper. It is expected that the planning process will <br />be completed in early 2000 with construction by the summer of 2000 and completion <br />in 2001. <br /> <br />15.
