A future economic center, housing regional commercial activity, is planned for a portion <br />of the TCAAP site in Arden Hills. <br /> <br />As redevelopment occurs on older, outdated parcels, a growing number of specialized medical <br />services are appearing along the 35W corridor in Roseville. The appearance of these services, <br />which support major hospitals in the core cities and at the University of Minnesota, and the <br />replacement of the trucking industry, signal a larger shift in the general economy of diminished <br />reliance on heavy industry. At the same time, major corporate restructuring is having an effect <br />on major employers such as Unisys and Deluxe Checking. <br /> <br />8.
