This is calculated by <br />multiplying the non-fixed operating cost, $919,470, times the percentage of activity associated <br />.with nonresidential land uses, 57 percent. This result is then divided by the current estimated <br />non_residential square footage in the City, 13.04 million, resulting in a non-fixed operating cost of <br />$39.95 per 1,000 square feet of new nonresidential space. Refer to the Supporting <br />Documentation section regarding nonresidential square feet calculations. <br /> <br />3. Emergency Management <br /> <br />This activity provides for the planning, documentation, and implementation of safety procedures <br />in case of local, regional, or national emergency or disaster. There are no direct personnel cost <br />budgeted for this activity. Non-personnel costs, however, will increase with growth. Total non- <br />personnel costs for this activity amount to $8,780 for Other Expenses. Dividing the total growth <br />related cost of $8,780 by the current number of residents and jobs in the City, 71.616, results in a <br />cost of $0.12 per resident and job.
