<br />2.0 Work Session Review <br /> <br />Bill Byers, Staff Economist at the Metropolitan Council, was present at the July <br />20 work session to answer questions the Council had. The Council agreed to <br />proceed with final consideration/approval to be addressed at the July 27th <br />regular Council meeting. The Council encouraged Mr. Byers to approach the <br />Roseville Area School District about participation in this study. <br /> <br />3.0 Staff Recommendations <br /> <br />The staff recommends participation in the Study with the City's share of the cost <br />($5,000) to come from the 1998 Contingent Account and $5,000 to be from the <br />1-35W Coalition. <br /> <br />4.0 Suggested Council Action <br /> <br />By Resolution (draft attached), approve entering into the "Cost of Growth Study" <br />with the Metropolitan Council, with the cost not to exceed $5,000, the cost of <br />which will be committed from the 1998 Contingent Account. <br /> <br />Attachments: Resolution Approving Participation in the Metropolitan Council "Cost of Growth Study" <br />Participating Cities (Preliminary) Proposed Cost of Growth Study <br />Description of Proposed Services and Products - Tischler & Associates,lnc. <br /> <br />Report by: Dennis Welsch (490-2232) <br />M:\RCA\GROWTHST.798 <br /> <br />2 <br />
