"7 -iO ''1i

BRISLEY ARCHITECTURE COMPANY
WILLIAM D. BRISLEY, AlA
3220 Irving Avenue South
Minneapolis, Minnesota 55408
voice: (612) 824.8730 pager: (612) 318.1336 fax: (612) 822.7537

2/10/99

City Of Roseville

Attn: Kathy Bennet
Re: PUD narrative

The building @ 1944 is used by Cryogenics, Inc. as a laboratory, office and
storage. The business is in urgent need of additional file storage space. The
owner of the building, Lois Olson, has closed her antique store in White Bear and
is looking for a place to relocate her retail business. The intent of the remodeling
at 1944 is to provide the additional storage space for Cryogenics, Inc, as well as
create a shopfront business location for the antique store.

The reconfiguration of the parking lot to share parking with the comer hardware
store is an idea that originated with the City Planning Department to help correct
some difficult parking issues with the corner business and to allow the combined
use of a larger contiguous lot. The Roseville Cornerstone Project, is embraced
with the -0- set back shopfront and the combination of parking lots and building
separations.

The architecture of the new addition is reminicent of comer shops of the early
1900s with awnings over the individual shops, yet fresh and innovative with the
tower in the comer and durable materials such as stucco and prefinished colored
eaves and roofing.

Very Truly Yours,

BRISLEY ARCHITECTURE CO.

William D.
