" ~ EXTRACT OF MINUTES OF MEETING OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF ROSEVILLE RAMSEY COUNTY, MINNESOTA 7- {~.qo, '* '* '* '* '* '* '* '* '* '* '* '* Pursuant to due call and notice thereof, a regular meeting of the City Council of the City of Roseville, County of Ramsey, Minnesota, was duly held on the 12th day of July1999 at 6: p.m. The following members were present: Mastel, Wiski, Goedeke, Wall (Maschka 8:25pm) And the following members were absent: None Council Member Goedeke introduced the following resolution and moved its adoption: RESOLUTION NO. 9668 RESOLUTION APPROVING A LIVABLE COMMUNITIES GRANT TO JOHN AND LOIS LSON OF CRYOGENIC LABORATORIES LOCATED AT 1940-44 LEXINGTON AVENUE NOR H FOR BOULEVARD LANDSCAPING AND SIDEWALKS IN THE PUBLIC RIGHT OF W WHEREAS. The City of Roseville received a grant from the Metropolitan Counc' Livable Communities Demonstration Fund in 1996, and WHEREAS, the guidelines of the grant encourage increasing pedestrian flow by installing sidewalks and additional landscaping in the public right of way, and WHEREA:S, Cryogenic Laboratories located at 1940-44 Lexington Avenue North, has received approval for a Planned Unit Development to complete the renovation and addi ion of 8,516 SF at the site which requires additional exterior landscaping, parking lot and stor water improvements, complete new exterior facade and other additions to increase the aesth ic appeal of the business while not having a negative impact on the surrounding neighbor ood, and WHEREAS, $150,000 of the Metropolitan Council's Livable Communities Demonstration Fund is designated for landscaping and sidewalk improvements in the right-of-way. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the City of Roseville City Council d s hereby approve a Livable Communities Grant to John and Lois Olson of Cryogenic Laboratories located at 1940-44 Lexington Avenue in Roseville not to exceed $12,500. BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the grant funds will only be distributed for th se actual expenses incurred in connection with boulevard landscaping and sidewalks in t e public right-of-way.
