<(;r ~ ~. () ()

Memorandum

To:

Dennis P . Welsch, Communi

velopment Director

From: Thomas Paschke, City
Date: 08/22/00

Re: Minor Amendment to PUD #1225 - Cryogenic Laboratories.

On July 12, 1999, the Roseville City Council approved the Planned Unit Development
for Cryogenic Laboratories. This approval included a number of attachments, one of
which was a required landscape plan. Since that date, the contractor who will be
installing the landscaping has determined that too many boulevard trees are to be located
along Lexington Avenue. Specifically, the landscape plan indicates three trees in
boulevard area between the north access drive and the south access drive.

In a letter dated August 16, 2000, Mr. John Olson requests a minor amendment to his
approved PUD allowing two boulevard trees instead of the three indicated on the
approved plan. The approved PUD stated "Minor variations from the approved final
development plans, which are consistent with this agreement and the underlying B-1
zoning district, may be approved by the CITY's Development Review Committee, under
the direction of the Community Development Director. Substantial departures from the
approvedfinal development plans will require an amendment to the Planned Unit
Development in accordance with Section 1015 of the Roseville Zoning Ordinance. "

On August 22, the Development Review Committee reviewed the request by John Olson
and determined the request was a "minor variation" and recommended approval of the
reduction from three boulevard trees to two boulevard trees.

Attached for your review and approval is the request by Mr. Olson. If you agree with the
DRC determination, please sign this memo approving the request and place it in Planning
File 3077.

~~ t( /14/60
~lJAJd~

Thank you for your consideration on this matter.

1
