<br />DRAFT LETTER <br /> <br />Honorable Senator John Marty <br />Senate District 54 <br />325 State Capitol <br />St. Paul, Minnesota 55155 <br /> <br />Honorable Representative Mary Jo McGuire <br />_ State Office Building <br />St. Paul, Minnesota 55155 <br /> <br />Honorable Representative Mindy Greiling <br />_ State Office Building <br />St Paul, Minnesota 55155 <br /> <br />Dear Senator Marty: <br /> <br />The Roseville City Council, at their meeting of December 14, 1998, unanimously <br />adopted Ordinance No. 1216, and Resolution No. 9614 (an executed copy of each <br />enclosed) honoring a citizen request to request and support special legislation to <br />amend the Minnesota Department of Natural Resources designation of Langton Lake, <br />in the City of Roseville . <br /> <br />The special legislation would designate Langton Lake as 49P (protected water), <br />replacing its existing designation of204W and 49W (wetland). This new designation is <br />supported by the DNR. <br /> <br />The City requests that special legislation be drafted in accordance with the Ordinance <br />and Resolution for submission to the Legislature in 1999.
