WHEREAS, the City of Roseville must comply with the plans and regulations of two watershed districts (and one water management organization) regarding surface water management (Rice Creek, Capitol Region and Grass Lake) wherein such plans and regulations are currently being written or revised and will require administration by the City of Roseville. NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of Roseville as follows: 1. Prior to adopting a new Surface Water Management Plan, the City of Roseville will continue to apply National Urban Runoff Program (NURP) standards for the design of new storm water ponds and the M~CA Urban Best Management Practices titled Protecting Water Quality in Urban Areas to review any proposed development occurring in the City to reduce nonpoint source pollutant loadings in storm water runoff. 2. The City of Roseville will incorporate these standards and requirements as appropriate into the surface water management plan, after the water management organizations have completed their plans and revisions, and within land use controls to implement this policy as appropriate. 3. The City of Roseville will prepare and adopt specific amendmen ts to its 1990 Surface Water Management Plan within one year after the completion ofthe watershed district and management organizations' plan approval. The Metropolitan Council will be notified after the amendments have been adopted. The motion for the adoption of the foregoing resolution was duly seconded by Member Maschka and upon a vote being taken thereon, the following voted in favor thereof: Mastel, Maschka, Waol and the following voted against the same: None WHEREUPON said resolution was declared duly passed and adopt.ed.
