<br />REQUEST FOR PLANNING COMMISSION ACTION <br /> <br />DATE: 1/13/99 <br />ITEM NO: 6(d) <br /> <br /> <br />Agenda Section: <br />PUBLIC HEARINGS <br /> <br />The City of Roseville is requesting vacation of a water main easement <br />located across Lot 1, Block 2, Gateway Business Park (PF3089). <br /> <br />1.0 Requested Action <br /> <br />Manager Approved: <br /> <br />1.1 The City of Roseville is requesting vacation of a water main easement located across Lot <br />1, Block 2, Gateway Business Park (PF3089). The water main located within the easement <br />has been relocated along the north and west edge of Lot 2, Block 2, Gateway Business Park <br />and the easement that is proposed to be vacated is no longer necessary. <br /> <br />2.0 Background <br /> <br />2.1 The City of Roseville is requesting the vacation of a 35' water main easement across the <br />northern portion of Lot 1, Block 2, Gateway Business Park. The water main located within <br />this easement has been relocated along the north and west edges of Lot 2, Block 2, <br />Gateway Business Park. Therefore, the easement is no longer necessary. In conjunction <br />with the request to vacate this easement, the City is also being asked to accept a <br />. . replacement easement in the location of the relocated water main. <br /> <br />2.2 Section 1013.04 outlines the procedure for vacating streets, alleys, and easements. <br /> <br />3.0 Staff Comment <br /> <br />3.1 In reviewing this request, staff made the following findings: <br /> <br />The water main located within this easement was relocated in 1997; therefore, the <br />easement is no longer needed by the City. <br /> <br />4.0 Staff Recommendation <br /> <br />4.1 Based on the findings outlined in Section 3.1 of this report, staff recommends approval of <br />the request for vacation of a 35' water main easement across Lot 1, Block 2, Gateway <br />Business Park. <br /> <br />5.0 Suggested Planning Commission Action <br /> <br />5.1 By motion, recommend approval of the request for vacation of a 35' water main easement <br />across Lot 1, Block 2, Gateway Business Park, and acceptance of a replacement water main <br />easement, based on the findings outlined in Section 3.1 of this report. <br /> <br />PF3089 - RPCA (1/13/99) - Page 1 of2 ~~ <br /> <br />~\(\~ . <br />
