Planning File 3092. Ric Cox request for vacation of a portion of County <br />Road D in connection with the proposed redevelopment of the parcel at the <br />southeast comer of Fairview and County Road d (3116 Fairview Ave. North) to <br />allow a small office building. <br /> <br />Chair Harms opened the hearing and requested City Planner Thomas Paschke to <br />summarize a staff report dated March 10, 1999. He noted City policy and <br />recommended approval of the vacation. <br /> <br />Thomas Paschke noted a letter received from Dave Seaberg regarding additional <br />vacations. <br /> <br />Mr. Ric Cox commented that the vacation should extend to the east at a future <br />time. <br /> <br />No comment from the public. <br /> <br />Chair Harms closed the hearing. <br /> <br />Motion: Member Rhody moved, seconded by Member Mulder to recommend <br />approval of the request for vacation of a portion of County road D, approximately <br />7-112 feet wide by 155.99 feet in length, directly east of Fairview Avenue <br />adjacent to property located at 3116 Fairview Avenue North, based on the <br />findings outlined in Section 3.1 of the Request for Planning Commission Action <br />dated March 10, 1999. <br /> <br />Ayes: Olson, Cunningham, Wilke, Klausing, Mulder, Rhody, Harms <br />Nays: None <br />Motion Carried 7-0. <br /> <br />Mr. Cox explained the landscape plan for his project. He explained the request <br />for landscaping in lieu of fencing on the south side. There will be no overhead <br />lighting in the parking lot (bollards). <br /> <br />/ <br />
