<br />Request For Council Action <br /> <br />Date: 03/08/99 <br />Item No: J-l <br /> <br />~a~ Approved: Agenda Section: <br />~ LAND USE <br /> <br />Lyndale Garden Center is requesting a conditional use permit for outdoor <br />display/sales and is requesting fence variances for side yard setback and <br />height around the outside sales area. (PF3096) <br /> <br /> <br />At the February 22, 1999 meeting, the Council directed the staff to review any <br />additional options that may be available and return to the Council with findings of <br />fact and a resolution to extend the review time (if additional study time was needed). <br /> <br />The staff is requesting the Council (on behalf of the city) to extend the review period <br />for up to 60 days, with the intent to work with the applicant to resolve traffic issues <br />relating to Oakcrest Avenue and complete the study of the left turn capacity on <br />Snelling and on Fairview. A resolution is attached. <br /> <br />Staff is also requesting Council to place this item on the work session of March 15 <br />in order to discuss the issues with the applicant, adjoining property owners and <br />representatives of the James Addition Task Force. <br /> <br />60-Day Schedule: The application was accepted as complete on January 11, 1999. The deadline for a decision by the <br />City Council is March 13,1999.
