Exterior improvements include a <br />new sign and entry on the west elevation, This entry will reflect the trellis motif established <br />on the Snelling Avenue side. A new 61 high wrought iron fencing will be added at the <br />perimeter of the site. It will attach to the building at the north elevation, wrap. around to the <br />east and south to the existing fire lane, and abut the existing wood fence adjacent to <br />Rainbow Foods. A 1'_0" setback will be maintained from the property line along Oakcrest <br />Avenue. <br /> <br />The enclosed fenced area will contain an outdoor sales area for trees, shrubs, and <br />flowers. A trellis structure will wrap the building on the north elevation and surround the <br />east, fronting the future greenhouse structures. The trellis will accommodate hanging <br />baskets of flowers and other merchandise. This seasonal display area will create a <br />colorful presence as you approach the site. <br /> <br />New ornamental shrubs and landscaping will be incorporated between the existing trees <br />along Oakcrest Avenue until the end of the site. To soften and upgrade the residential <br />area, special attention will be made to the parking lot entries adding landscaping and <br />colorful annual flowers. <br /> <br />The future greenhouse addition will create a brightly lit presence to Snelling Avenue. The <br />addition of peaked roofs and predominant glass will help to add interest to the existing <br />architecture. A new wood fence, gate, and trash enclosure will be added to the south end <br />of the building, and attach to the existing fence. This service entry will match the existing <br />wood fence in height and detail. <br /> <br />A new pylon sign will be added to the existing pole on the north east corner of the site. A <br />new sign will be added to the east and west facades. All signage will conform in size and <br />detail to city code. <br /> <br />This project is to be phased. The first phase improvements include the trellis work, wood <br />fence, trash enclosure and gate, wrought iron fencing, pylon sign, west entrance trellis and <br />signage, landscaping, upgrades along Oakcrest Avenue.
