<br />1 DRAFT PLANNING COMMISSION EXTRACT FROM MINUTES OF <br />2 MEETING OF 3.10.99: <br />3 <br />4 6d. Planning File 3098. Roseville Chrysler Auto Body Shop, request for a <br />5 conditional use permit to store inoperable vehicles awaiting repair within an <br />6 enclosed structure and for a motor vehicle dealership on property located at 2945 <br />7 Partridge Road. <br />8 <br />9 Chair Harms opened the hearing and requested Thomas Paschke to provide a <br />10 summary of the staff report dated March 10, 1999. <br />11 <br />12 Chair Harms noted that this change will be a major improvement. <br />13 <br />14 Mike Klein, Architect, explained the need for added space. He asked the <br />15 Planning Commission to provide additional time to comply with the requirements <br />16 of the code. The applicant states he has a conditional use permit on the existing <br />17 car dealership site to store new vehicles. The number of repairable vehicles on <br />18 the site should not exceed ten. <br />19 <br />20 Chair Harms closed the hearing. <br />21 <br />22 Chair Harms asked for detail on timing for improvements to bring the project into <br />23 compliance. <br />24 <br />25 Member Rhody stated he would not recommend approval without screening of <br />26 vehicles. <br />27 <br />28 Member Olson asked for clarification of project fencing. Chair Harms requested <br />29 clarification of the request and use within the building versus outside the <br />30 building. <br />31 <br />32 A general discussion ensued. <br />33 <br />34 Motion: Member Rhody moved, seconded by Member Wilke, to recommend <br />35 approval of a conditional use permit to store inoperable vehicles awaiting <br />36 repair within an enclosed structure and for a motor vehicle dealership on property <br />37 located at 2945 Partridge Road. <br />38 based on the findings and conditions listed in section 3 of the Request for <br />39 Planning Commission Action dated March 10, 1999. <br />40 Member Olson asked is approved, how many outdoor storage sites for vehicles <br />41 are requested. <br />42 <br />43 Member Mulder noted, if approved and applicant chooses not to abide by CUP, <br />44 all vehicles must be stored indoors. <br />45 <br />46 Ayes: Olson, Cunningham, Wilke, KJausing, Mulder, Rhody, Harms <br /> <br />.eJ \J"~C\ <br />~.'\ <br />
