Planning File 3104. Bradley Operating Limited Partnership (for Cub Foods) <br />request for vacation of a portion of certain utility and drainage easements in <br />connection with the re-routing of utility lines located on the southeast side of the <br />former Homeplace in Har Mar Mall at 2100 Snelling Avenue. <br /> <br />Chair Harms opened the hearing and requested City Planner Thomas Paschke to <br />provide a verbal summary of the staff report of March 10, 1999. <br /> <br />Chair Harms asked for detail of the request. <br /> <br />Thomas Paschke explained the utility easement vacation process. He noted the <br />reason for the vacation is to relocate utilities for a new 75,000 s.f. grocery store. <br /> <br />Chair Harms asked if there are similar relocation of utilities. Deb Bloom <br />provided the Homeplace original construction as an example. <br /> <br />The grocery store is a permitted use in a Shopping Center District. <br /> <br />Member Mulder asked about the role of the Planning Commission in the review <br />of easements. <br /> <br />Tim Prinzen, Bradley Real Estate, agreed with presentation by staff. At no time <br />has Prinzen requested access to any side street from the Center. Thomas Paschke <br />explained the green space setback. <br /> <br />Member Wilke asked for clarification of the need for easement vacation (to <br />expand the building). . <br /> <br />Page 3 of 12 <br />
