This area originally was zoned residential. Streets were plotted, sanitary
sewer along with the streets were plotted along with the lots. At the inception ofHar Mar. They
did not have enough parking area. Har Mar was granted a special use permit for parking only in
this area. In consideration for the parking area the shopping center agreed to a buffer strip,
fencing and screening. This consideration only after they were given the special use permit for
parking. I would like to know at this time has that special,1,1se permit or the designation of the
property been changed from the special use? If ~ot, how can the Council even look at this
proposal?

We have lived at 1455 W. Ryan Avenue for 48 years and do not object to the store but what you
are proposing to do in the parking and the buffer strip surrounding the area after residents have
been assured over the years that you would honor your agreement. If this concern is not
addressed at the meeting on Monday evening, March 22nd we need to speak to this concern.

~(A
)\\' 0)
