Paschke;

We recently received a letkr fi-om YOll dated i\{arch ], 1999. Thank you for your
preliminary review of our plans and prOpet1y. We an" excited and e:ucouraged by the
possibility of obtaining a Setback Permit fi'om RoseviHe.

Enclosed please find a complet;;>d application, a check in the amollnt 0[$25.00, and :::
copies of our plans as you requested.

TIle reason we are seeking this permit is due to our small kitchen eating space. We
currently have 5 people in our family and a table for 4. The kitchen is an "eat-in" style
and there is no room for a dining room. We spend most of our awake time in the kitchen.
eating and doing art projects with the children. We have anice size lot 77' by 176'. 'The
location is very convenient to the city, shopping, and parks. We especially like the lkWl
walking path around Lake McCan'ons.

Many ofthe homes in our area are larger than Ollrs and have been updated or remodeled
and added on to. We feel that this remodel would increase our property value and our
neighbor's property. We will be hiring prott;"ssionals to do most of the work, though John
is very handy and will assist in the project completion.

In response to item #9; there are no alternatives to expanding the kitchen without this
pennit. The kitchen is located in the ti-ont ofthe house and the rest ofthe house is being
used for bedroom, living space, and storage. In response to item #10, all of the
specifications circled on the application apply to us: we have a one car garage located on
the site, the proposed project improves and design and Jivability of our home, the original
reason for the setback permit was not created by the current owner, the existing
improvements along with proposed improvement retain a minimum of70% ofthe
pervious surtace and green space ofthe lot, the proposed project creates no other setback
or variance conditions, the proposed project improves the functional use ofthe site, the
proposed project uses the same e},,1erior structure materials and colors (we plan to put on

/
