REQUEST FOR COUNCIL ACTION <br /> Date:September 22, 2014 <br /> Item No.: 11.b <br />Department Approval City Manager Approval <br />Item Description: Consider the Vacation of Drainage and Utility Easements Located Along <br />Lots 18-21, Block 1, O’Neil’s Addition <br />B <br />ACKGROUND <br />1 <br />In 1978 several standard 6 foot rear lot drainage and utility easements were granted to the City of <br />2 <br />Roseville as part of the filing of the O’NEIL’S ADDITION plat. <br />3 <br />As part of the proposed development, Garden Station, in this area, the developer’s surveyor has <br />4 <br />recommended the vacation of the existing rear yard easements along Lots 18, 19, 20 and 21, of Block <br />5 <br />1. This recommendation is based on the establishment of a larger drainage and utility easement <br />6 <br />across the common area of the proposed development. As seen on the attached proposed plat, <br />7 <br />Attachment C, FIRE STATION ADDITION, Outlot A will encompass all of the common area and a <br />8 <br />drainage and utility easement will be established throughout Outlot A. <br />9 <br />The vacation will be not be official until such time the City Manager executes and records a Notice <br />10 <br />of Completion of this vacation. This will be done once a Final Plat has been approved by the City <br />11 <br />Council. <br />12 <br />Therefore, staff is recommending the vacation of the drainage and utility easements located along the <br />13 <br />north 6 feet of Lots 18, 19, 20, and 21, Block 1, O’Neil’s Addition. <br />14 <br />FI <br />INANCIALMPACTS <br />15 <br />There is no financial impact to the City of Roseville.
