<br />EXTRACT OF MINUTES <br />OF MEETING OF THE CITY COUNCIL <br />OF THE CITY OF ROSEVILLE <br /> <br />* <br /> <br />* <br /> <br />* <br /> <br />* <br /> <br />* <br /> <br />* <br /> <br />* <br /> <br />* <br /> <br />* <br /> <br />* <br /> <br />* <br /> <br />* <br /> <br />* <br /> <br />Pursuant to due call and notice thereof, a regular meeting of the City Council of the City of <br />Roseville, County of Ramsey, Minnesota, was duly held on the 24th day of May 1999, at 6:30 p.m. <br /> <br />The following members were present: <br />and the following were absent: <br /> <br />introduced the following resolution and moved its adoption: <br /> <br />Council Member <br /> <br />Resolution No. <br />Resolution Denying a Lot Width and Lot Square Footage <br />Variance at 1992 Cleveland Avenue <br /> <br />WHEREAS, Section 1004.02(D) of the Roseville City Code requires Single Family <br />Residential (R -1) lots to have a width of 85 feet and a square footage of 11,000 square feet; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, Seth Eggessa, property owner, (hereinafter" applicant") of the lot at 1992 <br />Cleveland Avenue, has applied for a variance to allow a minor subdivision of the lot, creating Parcel <br />"A" with a width of 66 feet and 8,910 square feet and Parcel" B" with a width of 66.56 feet and <br />26,484 square feet; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, Seth Eggessa intends to construct a new single family home on proposed Parcel <br />"B" , with future intentions of renting, selling, and/or removing the existing home at 1992 Cleveland <br />Avenue (Parcel "A"); and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the Roseville Planning Commission conducted a public hearing on the request <br />on Wednesday, May 12, 1999, and recommended (6-1) denial of the requested variance; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the Roseville City Council received the Planning Commission's <br />recommendation on Monday, May 24, 1999; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the Roseville City Council made the following findings: <br /> <br />1. Section 1004.02(D) requires a minimum lot width of 85 feet and a minimum lot <br />area of 11,000 square feet for interior lots in an R-l zoning district. Based on the <br />proposal, (Parcel" A" at a width of 66.0 feet and an area of 8,91 0 square feet and <br />Parcel" B" at a width of 66.56 and an area of 26,484 square feet) two variances <br />are necessary to proceed with the minor subdivision request. Only one variance, <br />from the lot frontage (width) requirement of 85 feet, would be required if <br />modifications were made to the proposal. <br /> <br />.
