Roseville, MN 55113 RE: STREET RECONSTRUCTION, CITY PROJECT P-99-02-23 Dear Mr, and Mrs, Dansare: As part of the upcoming street project on Matilda Street; the City will have-the cont-ractor-remove and replace the boulevard portion of residential driveways. The City Engineering Department has examined all driveways for code compliance and existing and proposed grades. The City of Rose vi lIe requires that all driveways be brought into compliance with City Code during a permanent street upgrading, Driveways must be a minimum of thirty feet from an intersection right-of-way line. Currently, the north edge of your driveway is less than thirty feet from the Iona Lane right-of-way line. In order to comply with City Code, this must be rebuilt to a point thirty feet south of the lona Lane right-of-way line as depicted in Exhibit A. As an alternative to moving your existing driveway, you can bring it into compliance by submitting an application for a variance from City Code. I have enclosed the City variance application if you would prefer this option, If approved, your driveway would be legal and there would be little or no change of location necessary, This variance application does need to go to before the Planning Commission and City Council for approval. To make it on the agenda for the June 9, Planning Commission meeting, the application should be returned by May 10,4:30 pm.
