July 16, 1999

Mr. Michael Davis
2687 Woodbridge Street
Roseville, Minnesota 55113

RE: Request for Variance: Driveway width and side yard setback

Dear Mr. Davis:

i

Your application requesting a variance from Section 703.04 related to driveway widt~
and related to the side yard setback was considered by the City Council on June 29, i
1999. The City Code requires a maximum width of26 feet for a driveway and a side !
yard setback of five feet. Currently, you have a driveway width of 32 feet and a side y~rd
setback of zero, with instances of encroachment on the neighboring property (no .
permit or variance was issued or recorded). j
i
i
Based on Council findings, as indicated in Resolution 9663, your request for a 32 foot
driveway access point (apron) was denied thereby necessitating your reduction of the
driveway apron to 26 feet. However, the Council did approve a three foot driveway sjde
yard setback variance allowing you to have a new driveway no closer than 2 feet to the
I
property line. i

Attached for your file is a copy of Resolution 9663 and 9663A indicating Council
actions.
