Brian and Connie Pease
2801 Lakeview Avenue
Roseville, MN 55113
July 5, 1999

City Planner
2660 Civic Center Drive
Roseville, MN 55113

Dear Sir:

We are writing regarding the request for a minor subdivision
on the Roseville property located at 2800 Lakeview Avenue North.
As we understand it, this property was divided by the former
owner at the advice of someone at City Hall for the express
purpose of avoiding some type of assessment or taxes (probably
assessments for a curb and gutter).

Current city ordinances were unquestionably in place when this
property was recently purchased. We have se~n first hand the
reason for this ordinance on this block. There is a "stack"
of houses behind the neighbor of 2800 Lakeview and it not only
compromises the appearance of that property and surrounding
properties, but we would guess lowers everyone's property value
as well.

We are certain you would agree that exceptions to city ordinances
I
and laws should be much rarer than the rule. We, therefore,
respectfully request that this ordinance be upheld and that
this block of Lakeview Avenue does not acquire another "stacked"
property.

Sincerely,

Brian and Connie Pease

&~;".~ or- ~ G~

Re: PID#02292332310046, Planning File # 3132
