Chuck Kadrie of 1281 Josephine Rd, <br />in,Rosevil1e. lvfr. Kadrie has a very severe shoreline erosion problem (approx. 90 feet long) that <br />. r his cost him at least six feet of shoreline (550 square feet) over the past few years. In addition to <br />the lost land, the erosion is threatening two very stately trees (Black Walnut and 100 year old <br />'White Oak) and eventually his entire lake-side yard. It appears that this problem has reached <br />"critical mass" in terms of its effect on the land. That is to say, it appears that the erosion problem <br />is accelerating and must be solved in a comprehensive manner now! <br /> <br />The Ramsey SWCD, through its ongoing arrangement with the Puea 8 SRF engineering stan <br />(Nfitchel Sawh), has designed the necessary shoreline erosion comrol practice for this site. <br />Because of site specific needs, the design developed by the District is the most appropriate <br />technique for this site. We request that you permit this project as designed as soon as <br />possible to avoid further critical loss of shoreline. We believe it is essential for the project to be <br />constructed early this fall. <br /> <br />Please consider this letter our response to the traditional permit review process. Because of our <br />unique relationship with the pennittee, we believe this non-traditional approach/response to this <br />particular DNR pennit request is warranted.
