. ,

..

July 6,1999

NOTE TO:
FROM:

RE:

DON M., BOB R.
PATM

METHODS OF ODOR CONTROL FOR RESTAURANTS IN
ROSEVILLE

As you know, the City has received complaints about odors from a
restaurant in the Har Mar Mall area. After some research, it appears that
one of the better means of attempting to control restaurant odors is
through filtering systems. I understand that the restaurant which
prompted the complaint has met the Building Code standards.

However, Dennis advises that the City asked Burger King to install a
more stringent system of control. May I ask that you 1) advise of the
filter system the City asked Burger King to install; 2) do other cities
require this more stringent system; 3) your recommendation(s) for the
city of Roseville.

Thank you. Dennis will be submitting a report to the Council for their
July 19th Work Session.
