<br />?F~l1b <br /> <br /> <br />October 13, 1999 <br /> <br />Kim & Todd Kaus <br />2940 Old Highway 8 <br />Roseville, MN 55113 <br /> <br />RE: Request for a Setback Permit to allow a house and garage addition. <br /> <br />Dear Kim & Todd: <br /> <br />On Thursday, October 7, 1999 the Development Review Committee (DRC) held a <br />hearing regarding your request to encroach into the required 10 foot side yard setback a <br />distance of six (6) feet one (1) inch. The encroachment and subsequent Setback Permit <br />was requested to allow a house and garage addition to the north side of your home. <br /> <br />. As you are aware, the hearing was required by the City Council due to an appeal in the <br />notification process and regarding our administrative decision to approve your request. <br />At the hearing held on October 7, Keith Hauer-Lowe and Laralee Kerr were present to <br />discuss the proposed development and necessary criteria for issuing a Setback Pennit. <br />The resulting discussions modified the previous approval by attaching three (3) additional <br />conditions to the requested Setback Permit. - <br /> <br />The DRC recommended approval of your request for a Setback Pennit, subject to the <br />following conditions: <br /> <br />a. Submission of a survey that indicates that placement of the proposed <br />addition and the grading of the site after construction is complete. <br /> <br />b. Installation of gutters to direct storm water run-off away from adjacent <br />properties. <br /> <br />c. Installation of a fence 16 feet in length and placed adjacent to the area of, <br />encroachment. The fence style shall be of a variety that is more of a' <br />boundary marker than for privacy and which fmal style is to be negotiated <br />between you and Mr. Hauer-Lowe and Ms. Kerr. <br /> <br />d.
